Dating back to its humble beginning in 1926, for 97 years, MEWA has specialized in customized engineering in steel and timber.
MEWA designs and builds structures, joinery and furniture that other companies do not attempt to build. Our furniture and joinery are custom made to clients specifications and are often classified as functional art.
Our staircases range from normal functional staircases to engineering craft pieces.
MEWA’s specialty is curved timber, curved timber beams, curved staircases and 3D curved panels. The end results are curved domes and conservatories, spiral staircase, curved staircases, handrails, and balustrades and curved structural beams.
We are a small team of craftsmen who learn new skills all the time and always attempt to design and build structures that we have never made before.
THE GREENPOINT EDUCATIONAL DOME PROJECT. FIRST IN SOUTH AFRICA
The Green Point Education dome is a project culminating after 7 years of planning by The City of Cape Town. MEWA was selected as the most capable company to build this dome as our speciality was custom made curved engineered timber into all shapes and sizes.
